[ He's in the bathroom, splashing cold water on his face ]

Uh-- Okay. That's real weird yanno.

[He looks over at the bathroom, blinking a few times before turning around and pressing his hand to the table.]

[ He comes out, holding a magazine he'd picked up from the holder just outside the bathroom, this time holding it in a way that makes things less obvious he is hiding something. ]

[ Shisui sits down in his chair behind his desk and leans forward, hands clasped on the table, magazine discarded. ] Erections aren't weird. They're pretty normal, you know? Especially when you're a guy. [ Gestures to the seat in front ] So, what did you want to ask me? [ pokerfaic ]

[His cheeks flush again when he sees Shisui with a magazine in front of him, but he shuffles back around to face the Uchiha, slumping down into the chair in front of his desk.]

I uh-- I dunno uhm... I mean, you're like the school-- guy, but you're Sasuke's like uh-- cousin an'...

[Huffing again, he moves his hands to grip the arms, fiddling with them awkwardly.]

Well-- Like uh-- if-- if you know someone who like, was on medication an' then changed medication but you-- did stuff, an' uh-- now you don't do stuff... is that like... 'cause they don't love you no more?

[ There is a teeny weeny eyebrow raise at that. Shisui leans back in his seat, one leg draped over the other, hands folded under his chin in thought (he's pretending to think) and swivels in his chair in a tiny acute angle. ]

Hmm. Depends. Define 'stuff'.

[He blinks a few times as Shisui moves on the chair, feeling his cheeks heat up at the question.]

Uh-- Yanno, uhm...

[Deep breath.]

[ Shisui just smiles at that - he'd only wanted you to say it loud for him, Naruto~ The doctor leans forward this time, pulling his chair closer to his desk. ]

No, no it doesn't mean he loves you less. [ Finally pulls his chair close enough to sit in it. ] I think we both know who you're talking about, so let's try and drop the hypothetical scenario, okay?

Mm, see. Sometimes it's not just the medication, but the condition. I think you're aware that what Sasuke has is a type of bipolar disorder? [ He waves his hands dismissively here before bringing them back onto the desk and looking straight at Naruto. ] This isn't any breach of confidentiality or anything, what I'm going to tell you, because as his closest friend, and boyfriend, I feel you have a right to know. And, it's always better, for everyone concerned, to know what they're dealing with. You may know of this, but I just feel like saying it, so listen anyway. [ Yes, sit down and listen .\__/. ]

What happens with bipolar disorder is that the person with the disorder switches between periods of either a very good mood, irritability, anxiety, and depression. Now if said person was in one of those 'very good moods', then things like sex would be... well, they could almost be insatiable. It's not that they 'love you more' around that time or anything. But even with medication to help them maintain stability, sex now and then shouldn't be like pulling teeth.

Then again, this new medication you speak of? Have you noticed any changes in him lately? Physically?

[The smile is disarming, and he pressed his lips together tightly - frowning and wondering whether he should feel awkward about this. Shisui was moving closer to the desk though - and talking, and the understanding that they both knew what they were talking about made his cheeks flush.

He listened though, nodding occasionally.]

So uh... It's okay?

[He swallowed hard, and blinked almost owlishly up at Shisui.]

He's-- He seems okay. Sort of, I mean, you know he's puttin' on weight, but I think that's like-- a good thing 'an stuff.

Uh, we haven't... not really uh...

Well, it could be because he's emotionally satisfied at the moment with things between you two that he doesn't want to do it as often now as he used to. Not that I'm saying sex is a way of filling any gap. Or perhaps the weight issue might be making him slightly uncomfortable with himself? [ And Shisui recalled how Sasuke had been fidgeting in those sweats the other day Itachi had enforced the uniform law. ] Which... well, you won't know for sure unless you asked him, right? Have you spoken to him about it?

It's okay, really. But if it's not okay with you, then you should talk to him about it.
