And that right there is the sound of him speeding and screeching to a halt right outside the Uchiha household. There's a thunk, followed by a "I'M REALLY SORRY GEORGE! TOTALLY DIDN'T SEE THAT THERE! WILL FIX IT FOR YA I PROMISE!" --which is the neighbor's mailbox crashing and being run over >.>

Another screech and there's a crack. "Shit..." Mrs. Hemmingway's rose bushes D8

And then he's practically flying out the car and running up to the door - which he unlocks so fast he almost breaks his key - and wala. DRAMATIC ENTRANCE~

It's rather late at the Uchiha household, well past midnight, actually. Maybe around 3.00am. No. It's 5.00am DX Holy shit, so he pulled an all nighter again didn't he?! So technically, it was Christmas already.

Shisui had been up late, wrapping up presents at the last moment, and filling out those eternally late holiday cards |: He'd finally found his address book and had to sprint all the way in the freezing cold - in just shorts - to drop them in the postbox down the end of the road. Then he'd been up all night finishing some reports and studying up some cases, reading some of the latest research papers... And before he knew it it was well past their bedtime. Heck the birds were chirping already. Fucking birds |8

When he comes out of his shower, the first thing he dives for is Itachi's present. Shisui pauses here, looking it over and over, biting his lip, a little nervous, but still somewhat certain of the outcome... And yet again not too certain. Argh!!

He looks over his shoulder at Itachi and then back to the thing in his hands. Deep breath, Shisui...

Shisui pads over to their bed, in boxers (these ones specifically~) and carefully lifts the blankets to slide under them. He leans over carefully, smiling, and presses the penguin plushie he held to Itachi's neck and face. "Hey hey 'Tachi..." It's whispered. "Merry Christmas~!" He places the penguin on Weasel's stomach, trying to get him to wake up. The penguin is both a plushie as well as a snuggly pillow~



But the most important part of the gift?

...It was a simple platinum ring tied round the plushie's neck with a piece of ribbon, the inside of the ring reading 永遠の愛
